NYC, A Ghost Town

This short documentary was shot on March 22, 2020, just a few hours before the NYS on Pause order came into effect. The order temporarily banned all non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason and closed down all non-essential businesses statewide. I felt the importance of the historic moment and wanted to capture the empty streets of New York. It was a bizarre and saddening experience to walk through a desolate city that always was famous for its busy crowded streets. It felt like I was watching an apocalyptic movie, but this time I knew it was very real.
